Youth Led Civic Action Projects

Youth-led Civic action Projects where teens identify issues facing out community and develop youth led projects to create solutions Chain Reaction members have created several projects to better our community. Chain Reaction instills in the teen volunteers that they are capable of making our community a better place. Participating in service learning projects allows teens to:

  • Learn to accept and take personal responsibility
  • Feel they have control over the things that happen to them
  • Learn from hands on experience

Chain Reaction members have developed many youth-led projects:

Christmas Warmth Chain Reaction members collected almost 100 blankets and donated them to homeless citizens, Early Bird Baskets-CR members collected and made almost 150 baskets for senior citizens for Thanksgiving day, Operazzi- a CR member (Wayne Dell) formed a youth council for the Pensacola Opera, National Family Volunteer Day- CR members decorated the Fricker center to ensure it was a exciting learning environment.
